STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE

Installing Patio Blind

  1. Unpack blind being careful not to damage cloth or hooding if it has one
  2.  If it has hooding remove the blind from hooding by pulling the clip from the pin on the opposite end of gearbox. This will allow the pin to come out then pull blind from gearbox by pulling away from gear box end. Lay blind on a clean surface
  3. Fit hooding to opening, keeping it level and central to the opening to be covered. Hooding must have tech screws into timber or dyna bolts (green slugs & Phillips head screws) into brick (min two each side).
  4. If the blind doesn’t have hooding it will be supplied with two uni brackets which must be fitted no more than 15mm wider than the blind. The bracket should also be fitted level and central. Please note if the brackets or hooding are not fitted level, the blind will not roll up straight and may jam.
  5. Once the hooding or brackets are fitted, refit the blind into gearbox end first, then fit the pivot pin & clip into other end this will secure blind into place.
  6. Using the crank handle place hook end into the slotted section of the gear box and unwind the blind.
  7. At the bottom of the blind there will be two fixing points one each side (plate with hole in it). Each blind will have two dog clips, two d- shackles & two pad eyes. Fit one d- shackle to the dog clip and then fit d-shackle to blind. Fit pad eye to opening end of dog clip.
  8. 9a. Make sure pad eyes are at same height otherwise blind will be looser one side when you wind up the slack and not sit properly.
  9. Once pad eyes are secure hook dog clips from bottom off the blind to them. Wind the handle up to take out the looseness in the blind. Both sides of the blind need to be firm (Don’t wind up tight as you may put un-necessary strain on the components).
